Product is exactly as pictured. Beautiful design and nice, shiny gold on the accents, actually a lot more gorgeous in person than I expected. This is my first time using it so I can’t speak for the longevity (rating may change if any quality problems arise), but it feels well-made.I’m a big fan of loose leaf tea, and I’ve been buying single-use teabags for it since I loathe trying to clean the novelty infusers everybody keeps buying me. My routine is to boil my water, pour over my teabag, and carry everything to my bedroom while it steeps. This has resulted in a good number of tea stain rings when it’s time to remove the tea bag and I’m desperately searching for something to put it on as I never remember to bring a bowl or small plate. I normally wouldn’t consider paying $19 USD for one tea cup, but this had several things going for it:A) a wide-mouth, built-in strainer that looked easy to cleanB) a lid to keep the tea hot while it steeps, andC) look at it, it’s flippin’ adorable.The strainer worked like a charm except for the tiniest of particles, which are honestly so small they’re not even an issue. The lid kept my water nice and hot while it steeped, so I didn’t have to worry about it already cooling by the time it was ready. The fact that the lid flips over to become a holding dish for the strainer is magical. I do wish the lid could go back on the cup without the strainer being in place (it’s just a touch too small and would fall in), but that’s a preference and not an actual problem. I liked it so much, I ordered one for a friend as a birthday present.
