I used mine with a 12vdc power supply to control an ethernet switcher I built. It was important that I could access both the normally open AND normally closed contacts for each channel for my specific use.Don’t get too excited about reading the instructions…they’re printed in a tiny font (get out your magnifying glasses) and are written in German and a confused sort of English. It’s pretty easy to figure out the pairing of the remotes. You can also pair other 433Mhz remotes to this device (like those wireless light switches for lamps/outlets also seen on Amazon) The electrical connections are clearly labeled on the receiver- no guesswork at all for that part of the operation. I didn’t have any problems getting everything working within a few minutes.The neat little remotes/transmitters are much like an automotive key fob – but I’ll surely not confuse these forcany other uses. Four wide buttons, the last one being RED – labeled ‘A’ thru ‘D’.The operating range is well over 500′ with the antenna – but you need to straighten it out to get maximum range. Vertical orientation of the antenna seems to help as well to maximize reception distance.Basically, I can operate the relays from anywhere inside my 1700 sq ft home and even outdoors within at least 300′ reliably.Reliability of the signal and the switching is important, as I use this device to control two seperate ISP data lines and the power for each ISP’s router. What can I say? Rural internet is like black magic ?Two remotes are included with this controller which is perfectly handy for me to have one in my kitchen and the other in my desk drawer.Whether you use this device to control lights, motors, your garage door opener or an amplifier or two in your trunk – you’ll find this device to be great for the task!A truly great find and a very useful tool for my network management.Two thumbs up, very well done!
