The Choyong A8W FM/internet radio arrived in a nice package, the radio is about size of Samsung Galaxy cell phone but twice of thickness. Nice clean design with pleasant dark green/blue color, fit and finish is very nice. Comes with a small piece folded instruction which need 20/20 vision to read. and USB-C charging cable and USB-C headphone to 3.5 mm adaptor. No charger included.The reason for me to purchase this internet radio is listening to the international radio stations, and also portable, this radio fits the bill.Good:1. Very good sound quality. It is very important to me that a radio must have a good sound quality. You can not enjoy a radio with bad sound quality regardless how many features it has.2. Connect to wi-fi pretty easy, you have to use upper dial knob to choose the letters and numbers to type in the password.3. FM radio works well. There is no telescope antenna. If you are in big city with strong station signals, you will be OK.4. The internet radio stations is categorized by the regions. Also you can use voice search with English. Not working with Chinese.5. Lots of internet radio stations were built in the radio. much easier than Shortwave radio for sure.Not so good:1. The radio shows FM frequency not matching US standard: for example, the FM90.3 will be picked up at 90.2, even the sound quality is good. The radio will scan the radio stations and saved them for you, you can not tune the frequency with the dial, at least I did not figure it out yet.2. I have saved some stations as favorites station with the “Heart button”, but can not find them later.Wish:I wish there is an online video demo to show how to use the radio. In the engineers’ mind the design is very good, it is important to show those good designs to the users, that is why iPod and iPhone are so successful.Final thoughts: Just have the radio for two days and amazon wants my review so bad so I just write some my initial impressions here.
